The present invention relates to a pouch-type secondary battery including an electrode assembly body in which a cathode tap and an anode tap expand from a cathode plate and an anode plate, and a pouch-type battery case housing the electrode assembly body and closed to expose the cathode and anode taps, wherein part of the inside of a sealing unit formed along the edge of the pouch-type battery case is sealed by applying heat while part of the outside of the sealing unit is sealed by metal welding using ultrasonic waves or a laser.
