The invention relates to an office chair. The seat of the chair includes a fixed base part (1) with a cylindrical bushing (2) for coupling same to the support leg of the chair. In addition, a pivoted part (3) is articulated with the rear end of the fixed base part (1) and the rear end of the pivoted part is intended to receive the backrest by means of screwing. A gas cylinder (6) is provided on the base part (1), having one end which is fixed to said part and one end which is fixed to a runner (17) that can move in relation to the fixed part (1) by means of shoes (23) which are solidly connected thereto and which move in wide openings (22) in the runner (17). In addition, the runner (17) is provided with a spring (29), the tension of which can be adjusted with a gear (30) and an externally-actuated spindle (30'), such that the seat, which is fixed to the runner (17), can be moved horizontally against said spring (29), with the possibility of moving forward, and can be fixed in any position using a rack. |
