The present invention relates to a kit for predicting the prognosis of gastric cancer by measuring microRNA-196b levels and mRNA or protein levels of Homeobox A10 (HOXA10) and a method for providing information for prognosis prediction of gastric cancer. According to the present invention, a good prognosis or a poor prognosis on the gastric cancer can be effectively diagnosed by measurement of microRNA-196b levels and mRNA or protein levels of HOXA10. Also, the kit and the method can be used in fields of predicting prognosis of gastric cancer and developing a therapeutic agent.
