A pharmaceutical composition comprising a combination of a hyaluronan or a salt thereof and an IL-1receptor antagonist (IL-1ra), and the use of such pharmaceutical composition for the manufacture of a medicament for treating a patient afflicted with an inflammatory joint disease, multiple sclerosis, leukemia, ischemic injury or reperfusion injury.
