PURPOSE: A situation recognition web service providing system and a method thereof are provided to guarantee the reliability and the improvement of a web service by applying a semantic web and an ontology technology to the web service. CONSTITUTION: A web service request and transmission unit (516) receives a request for a web service from a client and transmits the web service. A universal description discovery and integration (UDDI) registry unit (518) supports a web service providing an e-business object and information for the e-business object. A web service estimation unit (520) estimates the web service based on an ontology based on ontology web language for service (OWL-S) model. A web service return unit (522) returns a specific web service based on the control of the web service estimation unit.
