PURPOSE: A novel Lactobacillus sp. strain is provided to stabilize intestinal microflora by replacing existing antibiotics and to treat or prevent symptoms caused by abnormal fermentation of harmful bacteria. CONSTITUTION: A probiotic composition contains Lactobacillus amylovorus KACC91681P or a culture liquid thereof. The probiotic composition has acid resistance and bile resistance. The probiotic composition suppresses the growth of Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC), E.coli O157:H7, E.coli O78, E.coli O26, Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella cholerasuis, and Salmonella derby. The probiotic composition has an adhesion ability onto enterocytes. The probiotic composition does not transfer antibiotic resistant gene. The probiotic composition induces the secretion of TNF-alpha from macrophage. |
