The present invention relates to an apparatus for playing sound of a bell. Especially, the objective of the present invention is to provide an apparatus for playing sound of a bell, capable of using various kinds of sound sources including voice or music as sound of the bell. The apparatus for playing sound of a bell according to the present invention includes: an office line port connected to an office line; a telephone port connected to a telephone; an incoming signal detection part to detect that a ring signal is received through the office line; a hook signal detection part to detect a hook signal received through the telephone port; an alarm signal output part including at least among a speaker to output the sound of the bell, a lamp to output a light, and a vibration part to generate vibration; and a control part which drives the alarm signal output part if a signal indicating that the ring signal is received through the office line is received from the incoming signal detection part, and blocks the driving of the alarm signal output part if a hook signal detection signal indicating that the hook signal is detected in the telephone port is received.
