PURPOSE: A method and a device for providing map information of a best reduced scale are provided to provide map information as best reduced scale, thereby a user can easily grasp a desired information without controlling the reduced scale. CONSTITUTION: A map information request including information about request point is received(102). The map information including the request point is generated as preset reduced scale(104). Whether an essential factors required in the map information is included in the generated map information or not is determined(106). According to determination result, the reduced scale of the generated map information is changed(108). The map information which the reduced scale is change is transmitted(110). |
