A welding device and a control method thereof are provided. The welding device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a guide rail attached to a welding object; a driving module connected to the guide rail to be able to slide; a torch operation module operating a welding torch for welding the welding object by being connected to the driving module; and a control unit wherein one side of the control unit is connected to the driving module in order for the torch operation module to be moved on the driving module and the other side controls the position of the welding torch on the welding object and a moving module connected to the torch operation module. The controller is formed to control an advance angle of the welding torch to the welding object according to at least one among a driving direction of the driving module and the inclination of the welding object.
