The present invention provide a manufacturing method of a color filter substrate comprising: a step of preparing a transparent base substrate equipped with a first major surface and a second major surface leaning against the first major surface; a step of forming a color film layer on the first major surface of the transparent base substrate, performing an exposure process on the color film layer by irradiating light from the second major surface of the transparent base substrate, forming multiple color film layer patterns by etching the color film layer after the exposure process and forming a gap between the multiple color film layer patterns; and a step of forming black matrix in the gap between the multiple color film layer patterns and completely filling the black matrix in the gap between the multiple color film layer patterns. The present invention provides the color filter substrate.
