A message writing method of a mobile communication terminal and the mobile communication terminal thereof are provided to display a special character input menu automatically if no character inputting action occurs for certain time during a message writing process, thus a user can quickly and conveniently input special characters while writing a message. A memory unit(20) stores a special character input menu. An input unit(30) is configured to let a user input a message. If a message writing process is requested from the input unit, a display unit(50) displays a message writing screen. If no character inputting action occurs for certain time during the message writing process, a controller(40) displays the stored special character input menu on the message writing screen. |
