The present invention provides a data transmission method and apparatus. A data transmission method according the present invention includes: a step for receiving a wireless data exchange request of a first data exchange device; a step for generating a local magnetic dist symbol related to the first data exchange device according to the wireless data exchange request; and a step for processing data interaction between data in the data exchange device corresponding to the magnetic disk symbol and the first data exchange device according to the wireless data exchange request. The wireless data transmission performed by a user between a handheld terminal and a computer by using the data transmission and method according of the present invention is as simple and easy as the data transmission between local disks.
