Disclosed are a plate type wind power generating apparatus and a building equipped with the plate type wind power generating apparatus. The plate type wind power generating apparatus installed in a duct type structure includes: a caterpillar unit installed with a plurality of plate units on the external surface thereof and moving in a caterpillar manner by the plate unit applied with the resistance of wind passing through the duct type structure; a plurality of rollers supporting the caterpillar unit and rotating according to the caterpillar movement; and a conveyor unit which includes a power generating unit connected to at least one of the plurality of rollers and generating power.
