The one or more portions sent to a message delivery address are based on the received message characteristics of the subscriber associated with the message delivery address. Also included is a building automation system with a gateway device (150) with an associated message delivery address for receiving the one or more portions of information sent from the information centre, and for providing one or more messages to one or more of the display capable devices (170) associated with the gateway device (150). One or more display capable devices (170) comprising a communications interface for receiving the one or more messages provided by the gateway device (150). A processor parses the received one or more messages, determines the size of the available portion of the display area, and displays a representation of one or more of the one or more portions of information in the received one or more messages. The size of an available portion of the display is used to determine which of the received one or more portions of information to represent in the available portion of the display area.
