PURPOSE: A traffic signal control system of an intersection is provided to minimize an unnecessary waiting time for a vehicle or a pedestrian by assigning a movement or a stop signal to movement information of a vehicle and a pedestrian. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle detection sensor(10) detects entry and exit of a vehicle. A pedestrian detection sensor(20) is installed in an entry point and an exit point of a pedestrian in a crosswalk and detects entry and exit of the pedestrian, respectively. A processor(30) converts a signal of a traffic signal installed in an intersection based on movement information of a vehicle and movement information of a pedestrian. When the entry of the pedestrian is detected, the processor converts the signal of the traffic sign installed in the intersection and blocks entry of the vehicle with respect to the corresponding crosswalk.
