A method for manufacturing a polymer insulator and an insulator manufactured thereby for improving lifetime by preventing whiteout through surface processing of the surface of polymer line insulator using ultraviolet ray coating agents and improving water repellency are disclosed. The disclosed method for manufacturing the polymer insulator comprises; a step which manufactures a skirt installed on a high-tension line; a step which manufactures a rod by spreading sheath on the outer wall of an FRP rod; a step which is inserted into the inside the skirt using a transfer device after spreading an adhesive on the outer side of the rod; a step which hardens the adhesive by hardening the skirt and the rod during with high temperature predetermined time at predetermined temperature; a step which spreads a coating agent on the outer side of the hardened skirt and dries it.
