The present invention relates to a mutant strain which generates isopropanol and a method for producing isopropanol using the same. More particularly, a recombinant microorganism in which secondary alcohol dehydrogenase is introduced hardly produces by-products, acetone, while producing high concentration isopropanol and butanol. Therefore, the recombinant microorganism is used in a commercializing technique of biofuel.
