System and method for testing multicast distribution tree of multicast virtual private network

An MDT test system in multicast VPN network for testing MDT in core network including a plurality of PE and a method thereof are provided to test the error of MDT(Multicast Distribution Tree) for supplying a multicast VPN service on MPLS(Multiprotocol Label Switching) VPN network. A configuring information collecting unit(110) senses whether to change the configuration of PE(Provider Edge)(PE-1~PE-3) included in MPLS core network. The changed configuration information is collected by each PE and is provided to an MDT generating part(120). The MDT generating part displays newly configured MDT on topology by using configuration information collected by a configuration information collecting part. A test part(130) transmits an ICMP Echo message to an MDT group address.
