The present invention relates to a method for calculating a DTE of an electric vehicle, and, more particularly, to the method for accurately calculating the DTE of the electric vehicle by estimating the remaining available energy of a usable battery. The present invention comprises the steps of: obtaining the initial available energy of the battery; calculating the accumulated energy consumption of the battery which is consumed for a current DTE; calculating the remaining available energy of the battery based on the initial available energy and the accumulated energy consumption; and calculating the DTE based on the finial power rate and the remaining available energy.
