PURPOSE: A shock absorber for vehicles is provided to adjust a damping force using a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber for vehicles comprises a cylinder (10), a piston (20), a piston rod (30), an open and close control shaft (40), and an actuator (50). The cylinder is lengthwise from the top to the bottom. The cylinder is filled with a fluid. The piston is formed inside the cylinder. The piston partitions the inside of the cylinder into a first chamber (11) at the top and a second chamber (12) at the bottom. One end of the piston rod is fixed to the piston. The other end of the piston rod is extended to the outside of the top of the cylinder. The inside of the piston rod is formed with a fluid passage (31) and a control passage (32). The fluid passage connects the first chamber to the second chamber. The control passage is connected to the fluid passage. The opening and closing control shaft is joined to the control passage to be elevated. The opening and closing control shaft opens or closes the fluid passage. The actuator is connected to the top of the opening and closing control shaft to elevate the opening and closing control shaft. |
