The specification relates to a meter management method and an inspection data collecting apparatus managing a meter using the same at the meter management method of the inspection data collecting apparatus for a remote inspection system. The meter management method comprises; a step which transmits a meter information request to one or more meters; a step which receives meter information in response to the information request from one or more meters. The information request is transmitted to one or more meters which are connected to the inspection data collecting apparatus with wire-wireless communications in order to manage the meter information which is changed by the meter addition or removal at a remote site.
