PURPOSE: A submerged arc welding system for horizontal welding using a rail drive method is provided to sense a weld line according to a bevel angle formed in a lateral joint and regulate a Y-Z axis slider and an angle control slider according to the sensing value so that a welding torch can automatically trace the weld line. CONSTITUTION: A submerged arc welding system for horizontal welding using a rail drive method comprises a flux pad(20) is installed at the top of a driving trolley(10) and regulated with a vertical control unit(21) and a longitudinal control unit(22); a welding carriage(30) coupled with a hinge; and a flux hopper(41) and a control box(42) installed at the rear side. In the welding carriage, a guide bar(31a) with a pair of wire wheels(31,31') is inserted in the center, a tough sensor(32) is installed at the leading end, and a welding torch(35) with a Y-Z axis slider(33) and an angle control slider(34) is installed at one side. The driving trolley can be moved along a guide rail by a drive roller(11). |
