NZ 595502 Disclosed is an enzyme ensemble, or "cocktail", for depolymerisation of cellulosic and hemicellulosic polymers to metaboliseable carbon moieties comprising a mixture of enzymes, at least one of which is an isolated, synthetic or recombinant amino acid sequence having at least 75% or more sequence identity to SEQ ID NO: 522, as defined in the complete specification. The disclosed amino acid polypeptide in the enzyme ensemble has beta-glucosidase activity.
