The warehouse (2) has a loading and/or unloading device (22) for loading and/or unloading products e.g. tire blanks (4). The device accesses a horizontal rectilinear elongated storage belt (6) provided with an endless ribbon (12). The device includes a gear motor to move the endless ribbon of the belt. The device includes a transmission member (40) engaged with the belt to move the ribbon, and an actuator (48) to move the transmission member from one position to other position. The transmission member is in frictional engagement with the belt and a driving unit i.e. roller (36), of the device. An independent claim is also included for a method for storing products.
