PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for providing a user with guidance information on a station where the user can get on and off a public transportation system until the user arrives at a destination station.SOLUTION: A guidance information provision system comprises: a traffic information DB 132 storing traffic information on a public transportation system; a guidance information DB 131 storing guidance information associated with a station of the public transportation system; and an information provision tool 110. The information provision tool: acquires public transportation system identification information, from a portable terminal with a display, to identify the public transportation system that a user carrying the portable terminal with the display is travelling therein; identifies a station, where the user can get off the public transportation system after a time when the public transportation system identification information is acquired, from the traffic information stored in the traffic information DB 132; generates a station image representing the identified station as well as a link image of the guidance information associated with the station; and enables the generated station image as well as the link image to be shown on the display until the public transportation system arrives at the station. |
