This invention pertains to an electricity storage device having: an electrode element having a positive electrode and a negative electrode arranged facing therein; an electrolyte; and an outer body containing the electrode element and the electrolyte therein. The electricity storage device is characterized by: having, between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, a gas generating agent-containing layer that includes a gas-generating agent; and the combination of the electrolyte and the negative electrode not exhibiting an exothermic peak at 120-160°C in a DSC measurement of a sample comprising the negative electrode and the electrolyte. |
