The present invention relates to a system and a method for interconnecting a user terminal and an external device. The system comprises: a user application installed on a user terminal, which includes a user terminal communication interface for data input/output, the user application taking, as an input, a control signal through the user terminal communication interface, processing the control signal, and outputting the control data generated as a result of processing through the user terminal communication interface; an extension application installed on the external device, which includes an external device communication interface for data input/output, the extension application taking, as an input, the control data of the user terminal through the external device communication interface, processing the control data, generating a control signal according to a user selection and outputting the control signal through the external device communication interface; and an application connection module installed on the external device and connected to both the user terminal communication interface and the external device communication interface so as to mediate data transception between the user application and the extension application. Thus, the connection module that communicates with the applications installed on the user terminal is installed in the external device to interconnect the user terminal and the external device, thereby enabling the applications installed on the user terminal to be easily used in the external device and enabling the connection module to be in communication simultaneously with two or more applications installed on the user terminal. |
