摘要 <p>The implant has a cylindrical shaped expandable lattice scaffold formed from interconnected bars (1), which exhibit uniform thickness, where the implant is made of biodegradable or non-resorbable material. Storages are formed on a surface of the scaffold to store active ingredients. The storages are formed as physically separated cavities (2, 3) and arranged in a regular or irregular arrangement on a luminal side (5) or an abluminal side (4) of the bars. The cavities are formed with same or different sizes and shapes on the luminal side or the abluminal side. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing an active ingredient releasing implant (2) a device for loading an active ingredient releasing implant with an active ingredient.</p>
