The vehicle (1) has troughs in an inner space or outside of a passenger compartment. Deep-seated trough portions (3, 8) are formed for collecting water (9) and in the trough endangered by water entry. A pump device i.e. bilge pump, a valve device i.e. motor operated drain valve, or a capillary effect operated system are arranged in the trough portions and remove the water collected in the trough portions. The pump device is designed as a suction tube (11) in connection with a venturi nozzle (15). The tube produces vacuum during operation of the vehicle. The capillary effect operated system is a wick, a sponge and/or a composite of fibers. The trough portions are a spare wheel well or a fitting space for a component or a transportation object.
