The external diameter of the cage is smaller than the inner diameter of the receiving housing. An annular flow space is formed between the cage and the housing inner wall. The cage has two sections of different outer diameter. The wall of the housing is inserted into a viewing window that is formed as a recess. The viewing window is formed in the wall of the housing made of a transparent material. An independent claim is included for a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine.</p>
