PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery which is suppressed in increase of internal resistance, while having high capacity retention rate and small battery swelling, even after a long use.SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte containing an unsaturated sultone and a sulfate ester compound are used, the positive electrode active material having an α-NaFeOcrystal structure and being represented by a composition formula: LiMnNiCoO(where 0<x<1.3, a+b+c=1 and 1.7≤d≤2.3), while |a-b|<0.03 and 0.33≤c<1 are satisfied. |
