PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of detecting both of displacement and density concurrently.SOLUTION: With start of displacement and density detection control, an image forming part is, at S10, caused to form each detection pattern. At S11, a CPU acquires a minimum value and a maximum value of a detection voltage at a color portion of the detection pattern, and a maximum value of a detection voltage at a black portion. At S12, the CPU determines a minimum light quantity of a sensor part on the basis of the minimum value of the detection voltage at the color portion. At S13, the CPU determines a maximum light quantity as described above on the basis of the maximum value of the detected voltage of the color portion and the maximum value of the detection voltage at the black portion. Finally, at S14, the CPU sets a light quantity between the minimum light quantity and the maximum light quantity for a light-emitting element so that a light-emitting quantity of a light-emitting element for performing the displacement detection and the density detection sequentially can be determined. |
