PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an announcement device for a passenger conveyor capable of making a notification over an almost entire conveyance section of the passenger conveyor, and capable of properly communicating with a user to be notified by using fewer speakers than a conventional device.SOLUTION: An announcement device for a passenger conveyor includes: a superdirectional speaker 5 that is provided to vary a direction in which voice is sounded; and a control means 6 that stores a plurality of obtainable directions as a voice sounding direction of the superdirectional speaker 5 beforehand, selects one of the plurality of stored directions and controls a voice sounding direction of the superdirectional speaker to in a selected direction. |
