<p>A wave generator (4) of a wave gear apparatus (1) is provided with a pair of first rollers (51, 52), a pair of second rollers (53, 54), and a pair of third rollers (55, 56), each of which is disposed in a point symmetrical position with respect to the center of a flexible external gear (3). The first rollers (51, 52) are positioned on the long axis (L1) of the flexible external gear (3), which is bent in an elliptical shape. The second and third rollers (53 to 56) are disposed between the long axis (L1) and the short axis (L2) in line symmetrical positions with respect to the long axis (L1). Support bearings of the first rollers (51, 52) are larger than the second and third rollers (53 to 56). The rolling contact fatigue life of the roller-type wave generator can thus be improved.</p> |
