A backlight system (21), manufacturing method of the backlight system (21) and flat panel display device (20) are provided. The backlight system (21) comprises a packaging bracket(210), at least two main splicing members(231,232), namely a first main splicing member(231) and a second main splicing member(232), wherein one end of the first main splicing member (231) is provided with at least two splicing parts (2311,2312), the structure of each splicing part (2311,2312) is adaptive to one end of the corresponding second main splicing member(232), and the first main splicing member (231) and one end of the corresponding second main splicing member (232) are spliced together through one splicing part of the first main splicing member (2311,2312). The packaging bracket (210) is arranged on either the first main splicing member (231) or the second main splicing member (232), and a semiconductor light source (25) is directly packaged on the packaging bracket (210). Therefore, the material cost and mold cost can be cut down and the heat dissipating problem of the semiconductor light source (25) is solved.
