PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of improving a humid condition of a fuel cell, and a method for operating the same.SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises: a fuel cell 10; an anode circulation passage arranged so as to circulate an anode off gas exhausted from an anode passage through an anode supplying passage to a supplying side of the anode passage; a hydrogen pump 27; degree of humid estimating means for estimating a degree of humid of the fuel cell 10 based on information containing a current value correlated with the degree of humid of the fuel cell 10; and degree of humid adjusting means for adjusting the degree of humid of the fuel cell 10. When the degree of humid of the fuel cell 10 is estimated that it is lower than a predetermined value by the degree of humid estimating means, the degree of humid adjusting means controls the degree of humid of the fuel cell 10 to be equal to or higher than the predetermined value, and raises the rotational speed of the hydrogen pump 27. |
