PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance detection accuracy of a combustion pressure by preventing any instantaneous abnormal thermal expansion of a sealing member (a retaining member) due to intrusion of combustion gas into an interior via an annular gap between the inner circumferential surface of the tip of a housing and the outer circumferential surface of a heater protruding therefrom, by using a glow plug with a combustion pressure detection sensor.SOLUTION: A combustion gas blocking wall 67 which protrudes radially outward to increase a diameter and the outer diameter D2 of which is greater than the inner diameter D1 of the tip 136 of a housing, is provided at the outer circumferential surface of a heater 10 to seal off an annular gap K1 farther forward than the annular membrane part 63 of a sealing member 60, when the heater 10 is viewed rearward from a tip 10a along the axial direction. The combustion gas rushing from the tip 10a of the heater 10 toward the rear end thereof collides with the combustion gas blocking wall 67, and does not directly hit the annular membrane part 63. Thus, it is possible to reduce action such that the annular membrane part 63 pushes the heater 10 forward in the axial direction due to abnormal thermal expansion, as in the conventional art. |
