Provided is a method for producing a polyphenol composition having excellent solubility in water, where the method does not require special equipment, is inexpensive, and uses a material having little impact on the flavor of the composition. The method for producing a polyphenol composition comprises a step for obtaining a solution by dissolving (A) a water-insoluble polyphenol, and (B) one or more selected from the group consisting of catechin, chlorogenic acid, and water-insoluble polyphenol methylation products, in an aqueous ethanol solution having an ethanol concentration between 30 and 90 vol% inclusive at a temperature between 0 and 90ºC inclusive, and a step for drying the resulting solution. |
