The device has rear and front injection mold halves (72,74) that are respectively arranged in the rear side and front side of the bristle carrier. Several bristle bundles are stuffed in a bristle carrier having openings. Several protrusions (88,96,112,114) originating from both surfaces of the carrier, are provided for forming an opening. The cross-section of one protrusion with the opening at the junction of one surface, is different from the cross section of the adjoining protrusion associated with the same opening at the junction of other surface. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing brushes.
