PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stern shape of a displacement type ship which can reduce hull resistance, and can suppress propeller cavitation in the displacement type ship which cruises in a speed stage in which a Froude number is smaller than a last hump.SOLUTION: A frame line 12a on the inner side of a hull crosswise direction of a knuckle line 14 is formed in a dome shape having curvature convex upwardly, a hull length forming the dome shape is set to be 10% or more of the entire length or once or more of a propeller diameter, also a position of the hull crosswise direction of a start point is set to be outside of a propeller radial position, the knuckle line 14 is formed so as to come closer to a center line of a hull gradually toward the rear of the hull, or to be in parallel with the center line of the hull to end at an end point with an inter-line width, the end point continues until a stern end, and a cross-sectional shape of the stern end is formed in a shape in which the end points of the knuckle line 14 of right and left ship's sides are tied by a straight line. |
