PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the remaining plate thickness of a corroded steel plate that enables measurement of the remaining plate thickness by direct contact with a portion to be measured without removing a corroded portion beforehand.SOLUTION: A measurement pin P is placed facing a steel plate M. By rotating and advancing the measurement pin P while measuring an electric resistance value between the measurement pin P and the steel plate M, a tip Pa of the measurement pin P is made to dig into a corroded portion Ma of a surface of the steel plate M to measure the remaining plate thickness of the steel plate with a displacement amount, of the measurement pin P, up to when the electric resistance value decreases to a predetermined value according to an electric contact state of a point of the measurement pin.
