PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a glass substrate for display hardly generating electrostatic charge upon removal, when removing the glass substrate from a mounting table from a state where the mounting table and the glass substrate are in contact with each other, and to provide the glass substrate and a panel for display.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a glass substrate for display has a step of manufacturing the glass substrate, and a step of forming surface unevenness by applying surface treatment onto a glass surface on one side between main surfaces of the glass substrate. On the surface-treated glass surface, protrusions having the height of ≥1 nm from the surface roughness center surface of the surface unevenness are provided dispersedly, and the surface treatment is performed so that the area ratio occupying in the area on the glass surface of the protrusions becomes 0.5-10%. A semiconductor element is formed on the main surface of the glass substrate on the opposite side to the glass surface by using the glass substrate. Hereby, a panel for display is manufactured. |
