A health management support method comprising measuring an amount of activity of a user during a first measurement term and a second measurement term, calculating a required amount of activity as the amount of activity for realizing physical characteristics, the required amount of activity being calculated according to an index value of the designated physical characteristics, calculating a reference amount of activity of the user according to the amount of activity measured during the first measurement term, calculating a target amount of activity which is determined by adding the reference amount of activity to the required amount of activity; and determining a degree of target achievement which is achieved by the amount of activity of the user during the second measurement term after the first measurement term.
