The invention relates to a foam sealing tape, for example for sealing between two construction parts, in particular between a frame component and the masonry associated with the frame component, wherein the sealing tape has opposite broad sides that can be associated with the construction parts and narrow sides extending perpendicularly to the broad sides and is permeable to water vapor diffusion from one of the narrow sides to the other narrow side and wherein furthermore the sealing tape has a barrier layer made of a material that is different from the foam sealing tape material and that extends at least partially across the cross-section of the water vapor diffusion path. The barrier layer is made at least partially of a material that reversibly changes the resistance of said material to water vapor diffusion with the humidity. |
