<p>The present invention enables shoulder edge wear to be accurately detected, without impairing the durability of a tire, by: extracting an acceleration waveform from an output signal of an acceleration sensor (11) positioned on the inner surface of a tire tread, via an acceleration waveform extraction means (12); extracting either a front step-in region or a rear kick-out region from the acceleration waveform via an acceleration waveform separation means (13); and then obtaining a frequency spectrum by analyzing the extracted acceleration waveform via a frequency analysis means (14); calculating a frequency band value, which represents the magnitude of the acceleration of a specific frequency band, from the frequency spectrum via a frequency band value calculation means (15); and detecting uneven wear at the edges of the tire shoulder sections from the magnitude of the frequency band value that was calculated, via a shoulder edge wear detection means (17).</p> |
