The component (10) has a two fiber-reinforced plastic parts (12, 14) indirectly connected with each other. A damping device (16) is partially arranged between the fiber-reinforced plastic parts. The damping device is designed as a gap-shaped interstice (18), which is arranged between the fiber-reinforced plastic parts and partially filled with attenuation medium, which is air or an incompressible fluid i.e. oil. A damping element (20) made of foam material is arranged between the fiber-reinforced plastic parts. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a composite component for a shell of a motor car.
