PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle provided with a steam recovery unit in a lid body, and preventing hot water or the like from being discharged from an exit hole even if the exit hole of the steam recovery unit is situated on the lower side.SOLUTION: An electric kettle includes an inner container housed inside a container body, a heating means for heating liquid inside the inner container, and a lid body provided at the upper part of the container body. The lid body includes a steam recovery unit provided with an entrance communicating with the inside of the inner container, an exit communicating with the outside, and a path through which steam and water pass. The exit is situated on the front or rear side and the right or left side of the lid body. The entrance is situated on the opposite side from the exit in the forward and backward direction of the lid body. The path partially extends in a lateral direction, across the center line in the forward and backward direction of the lid body. Part of the path extending in the lateral direction across the center line in the forward and backward direction of the lid body communicates with the entrance on a side extending to the opposite direction from the exit, and communicates with the exit in the configuration on the other side. |
