PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device that can prevent occurence of a rear end transfer failure area without causing other image noise.SOLUTION: An image formation device is configured to include: an intermediate transfer belt 220; a secondary transfer roller 252; a plurality of counter rollers 240 and 242 that face the secondary transfer roller 252 across the intermediate transfer belt 220 and are supported contactably and separatably with respect to the secondary transfer roller 252; contact separation means that brings the counter rollers 240 and 242 into pressing contact with the intermediate transfer belt 220 or separates the counter rollers 240 and 242 from the intermediate transfer belt 220; and a control part 200 that controls the contact separation means so as to selectively bring the counter rollers 240 and 242 into the pressing contact with the intermediate transfer belt 220 in accordance with a transfer condition in transferring a toner image formed on the intermediate transfer belt 220 onto a recording paper or separate the counter rollers 240 and 242 from the intermediate transfer belt 220. |
