PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a temperature of a heating rotary body at a fixation part in every orientation of an image formation apparatus of which installation orientation is changeable.SOLUTION: A printer 1 is capable of forming an image in any of horizontal and vertical installation orientations. The printer includes: a fixation part 30 for thermally fixing a toner image by passing a recording sheet S through a fixation nip formed by pressing a fixation roller 31 by a pressure roller 32; temperature sensors 34 and 35 for detecting a surface temperature of the fixation roller 31; a heater 33 for heating the fixation roller 31; and a control part 50 for controlling temperature adjustment of the fixation roller 31 according to a detection result of the surface temperature. The temperature sensors 34 and 35 are arranged at such positions that a detection error of the surface temperature of the fixation roller 31 is within a specified value respectively in the horizontal and vertical installation orientations, and are selectively used for the temperature adjustment according to a change of the horizontal or vertical installation orientation. |
