To minimize a decrease in access performance due to occurrence of a fault region on a recording medium. An information processing device (1) receives a command to access a logical address (LBAh) of a recording medium (4) and performs access control for access to a physical addrerss (LBAd) of the recording medium (4) associated with the logical address (LBAh). A management unit (2) manages the association relationship between the logical addresses on the recording medium (4) and the physical addresses on the recording medium (4) after a predetermined number of replacement regions has been skipped. A control unit (3) specifies a physical address associated with the received logical address, and performs access control for access to the recording medium (4) according to the specified physical address. When a fault occurs in the region indicated by the physical address in the information processing device (1), the replacement destination for the allocation of the logical address associated with the physical address at which the fault has been generated is switched to a replacement region adjacent to the physical address that indicates the fault.
